Meet our Founder
Science has always been at the heart of my journey. People have always been at the centre of it.
When people ask how I came into aesthetics, the answer is that I have never simply been interested in beauty - I have always been fascinated by the science of skin and by helping people become the very best version of themselves.
My journey began in 2006 when I joined Astron Clinica, one of the world’s most innovative skin imaging companies.
Working with the pioneering SIAscopy® (Spectrophotometric Intracutaneous Analysis) technology, developed by Dr Symon Cotton during his doctoral research, I became immersed in a world where light could reveal what could not be seen with the naked eye. Using sophisticated optical imaging, SIAscopy® enabled clinicians to visualise blood, melanin and collagen up to two millimetres beneath the skin’s surface. Initially developed to support the assessment of skin cancer, the technology later revolutionised aesthetic medicine by improving the understanding of pigmentation, vascular conditions and skin ageing.
I was privileged to become Vice President of US Operations, establishing Astron Clinica across the United States while working alongside internationally respected dermatologists, plastic surgeons, physicians and researchers. The technology was adopted by leading global organisations including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Avon and Colgate-Palmolive, supporting scientific product development and advancing skin health research worldwide.
Those years shaped the way I still think today.
Technology is at its most powerful when it enhances knowledge, supports better decisions and ultimately improves people’s lives.
Following Astron Clinica’s acquisition, my career naturally evolved into coaching, mentoring and leadership development. For almost two decades I have worked with business owners, healthcare professionals and aesthetic practitioners, helping them build successful organisations, develop confident teams and deliver exceptional client experiences.
During that time I realised something important.
The greatest transformations are rarely just physical.
When people feel healthier, more confident and more comfortable in their own skin, every part of their life can change. Confidence influences careers, relationships, wellbeing and self-belief. That understanding became the inspiration behind Medra Aesthetics.
In 2025 I founded Medra Aesthetics Limited in the beautiful Gower Peninsula of South Wales to bring together everything I have learned throughout my career - science, technology, coaching and compassionate patient care.
Today I offer carefully selected evidence-based treatments including IPL, advanced laser therapies, High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), injectables and personalised skin rejuvenation programmes.
Every recommendation is guided by clinical evidence, patient safety and individual goals. I believe treatments should enhance your natural features rather than change who you are, delivering elegant, subtle and long-lasting results.
My coaching background also shapes every consultation.
I believe listening is one of the most valuable clinical skills any practitioner can possess. Understanding your concerns, your aspirations and your lifestyle is just as important as understanding your skin.
